Increasing your email database couldn’t be easier. Below are a few very easy ways for your golf club to increase its email database:
- Data collection pop ups on your website
When you are trying to grow a database, you need to give people a reason to give their information. It could be a free round of golf, an exclusive offer, a free sleeve of golf balls or entry into a free competition. TIP: You can also customise the signup form, which allows you to segment the database further.

- Tee time booking systems
Whatever ‘tee time booking system’ your golf club uses it is vitally important that you use it to its full potential and this includes having your staff fully trained on how to use the system correctly. Each time the office or the pro-shop takes a booking make sure they are inputting the customer’s full details onto the system. This will result in, not only your database growing, but your database growing with relevant people, who are interested in playing your course. Once the system is set up correctly the data should be integrated directly into your email database.
- Free competitions
This idea is simple but effective. Run a weekly or monthly competition from the Pro-Shop where every entry into the competition required an email address. In a few months, you will have gathered a few hundred email addresses which can be added to your overall database. Again, running onsite competitions will not only build the size of your database, but it will improve the quality of your database as you are collecting information from golfers who are interested in playing your course.
